Our sites support specialty physician services, infusion therapy, and leading-edge research on new medications for complex and rare disease states. Our service model makes it easy for patients to receive intravenous therapies 365 days a year with the support of physicians, advance practice providers, nursing, and pharmacy services. Position Summary: The RN is responsible for initiating and maintaining intravenous lines and tubing, administering medication and fluid therapy. They provide a safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective care environment which ensures the self-respect, personal dignity, rights, and physical safety of each patient.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Establishes IV access for infusion patients, including port access and de-access, PICC line use and care.
2. Administers intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
3. Administers medication through IV and monitors patient throughout the infusion, accurately documents all nursing care in the EMR.
4. Provides comprehensive nursing assessment.
5. Maintains a cordial, accommodating, and welcoming presence with patients. Provides for the comfort, safety, privacy, and confidentiality of patients.
6. Gain a knowledge of the medications that are administered at IA and the process of delivery. Actively participate in education about new medication and updates to the current formulary.
7. Initiates and provides emergency care services as appropriate in life-threatening situations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Education: Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing.
2. Licenses/Certification
3. Valid RN license in the state employed.
4. Valid CPR certification.
5. At least two years of nursing experience required.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate and build relationships with patients, families, staff, providers, and community health team.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Coordinate patient virtual visits.
  • Oversee and ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms/chairs.
  • Maintain exam rooms in a neat and clean manner at all times.
  • Comply with patient needs at all times.
  • Escort patients from waiting room to examination rooms.
  • Prep Charts with labs, X-rays, progress notes, etc.
  • Ensure patient charts contain all pertinent information and are placed in designated areas for Physicians' use.
  • Maintain and review patient records, charts and other pertinent information.
  • Alert Physicians of patients' allergies prior to beginning exams.
  • Assist Physicians with injections, aspirations, castings and/or other procedures as necessary.
  • Monitor supply levels, and replace as needed.
  • Photocopy information given to patients, and place copies in appropriate charts.
  • Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
