Position Summary

The Clinical Research Nurse oversees and coordinates the daily activities of various clinical research studies. They work together with the study team on all aspects of the clinical trial process from study start up through study close out.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

· Site feasibility and protocol review

· Protocol implementation: recruitment and screening of patients, informed consent process, study procedure coordination/treatment administration, investigational product accountability, data collection, case report form entry, and query resolution

· Participation in investigator meetings; facilitate site initiation visits, monitoring visits, and close out visits

· Participation in screening, enrollment, and protocol execution for COVID-19 studies

· Strategize and implement solutions to aide in success of a growing research program

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Abilities

· Associates degree in Nursing required, bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

· Current state of Michigan RN License required

· Minimum 1 year clinical research coordination preferred

· Extremely detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills; ability to manage time and prioritize workflow

· Highly motivated with the ability to work as a team player as well as independently while managing a variety of protocols simultaneously

· Creative solution-based problem solving, critical thinking skills, and clinical judgment

· Willingness to accept and adapt to change in a fast-paced and complex work environment

· Experience working with Microsoft Office
